Indrayani rice is a medium grain variety of rice that is specially grown in the Maval region of Pune district. It has a pleasing aroma that is very unique. When cooked, it is very sticky and is consumed mostly in traditional Maharashtrian dishes.  Brown rice is the rice that's obtained when the husk is removed. Hand pound Rice on the other hand is a rice whose husk has been removed by using a stone grinder or a stone apparatus similar to a mortar and pestle.
